Angela Lynn Comeaux Trahan

April 29, 1962 ~ June 25, 2024

Angela Lynn Comeaux Trahan, 62, of Westlake passed away at 4:30 PM on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 in a Shreveport hospital.

Angela was born on April 29, 1962 in Jennings where she was raised until moving to Lake Charles in high school. She graduated from Barbe High School, where she distinguished herself as a proud clarinet player in the school band, a passion she continued throughout her life. Upon graduating she furthered her education, receiving an accounting degree. She began her career at Olin Chemical as an operator and later transitioned to accounting when an opportunity arose. Angela later worked as a teller at various local banks, earning the title of teller supervisor, before dedicating her time to substitute teaching special education students for the Calcasieu Parish school system. She was a devout member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church.

In her leisure time, she found joy in visiting amusement parks, listening to Elvis Presley’s music, and playing her cherished clarinet.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 33 years, Gerald Trahan; children, Candi Corkern (Jeff), Tanya Lowery (Derrek), Jeremy Trahan, Kiersten Broussard (Brett), and Zachary Trahan (Kimmie Frank); mother, Geradine “Gerry” Martin; sister, Felicia Feagin; and grandchildren, Braden and Aubree Corkern, Blaise, Kannon, Killian, and Bryken Lowery, Lacey and Kristy Trahan, Amara LeBaron, and Scarlett Trahan.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Lynn Comeaux.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 1, 2024 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel. Father Jenesh Joseph will officiate. Burial will follow in Benoit Cemetery. Visitation begins on Sunday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will resume on Monday from 1:00 PM until the start of the service.
