Barbara Nevils, 80, of Lake Charles passed away on Saturday September 24, 2022, in a local hospital.

Ms. Nevils was born October 24, 1941, in Lake Charles. She was loving mother and grandmother.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Mitchell Breaux, Westlake and Keith Breaux and wife Carla, Lake Charles; daughter, Cindy Bertrand and husband, Robbie, Toledo Bend; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald “Buddy” Nevils; mother, Aza Mae Arabie Lavergne and stepfather, Odell Lavergne and father, Harry LeBert.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday September 27, 2022, and will continue from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. Jeff Lebert will officiate.  Burial will follow at Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
