  1. I am so sorry to hear about your Mother. She was such an amazing person! My earlies memories were when Carla and I were in the Brownies, and we had our meetings at your house in Oak Park. Your mom always gave us cookies. I remember that because Mama never bought sweets. I also remember her always being so happy. She was fun to be around, because she made us feel so included. She cooked ribs one night, in red wine. I think I was 9, and those were the best dang things I'd ever had in my life. She was so special, and I know she's in Heaven with your Dad..cooking for everybody. My thougths and prayers are with you all. Love, Lucy

  2. Knowing your son,Kurt, and his family gave me a window into your life. You were a wonderful Mom, wife and friend to all and may you now RIP.Your family will miss you,but you left them many beautiful memories.

  3. My deepest condolences to the family. I often think of the generous hospitality extreme kindness of John Betty that I experienced when Jane I visited the Hubers in Germany in 1957.

  6. I met Betty at choir at the Cathedral. we were both altos and frequently sat next to each other and became friends. A lovely and ever gracious lady with a sense of adventure! She called me one day to go with her ghost hunting with a group that a friend of hers belonged to. How much fun! We talked then of how much she missed her John. She shared a wonderful recipe with the choir to test out before she served it to her family a few Thanksgivings ago. Of course it was delicious and because she never named it, I called it Betty Huber's Pumpin Surprise, and shared it with many people. She spoke often of her family, especially her grand children, whom she loved having over. I left choir for several years and just recently heard of her illness. I will always remember her so fondly and was so happy to sing for her wake and funeral.I know she will be greatly missed.

  7. I wanted to extend my deepest sympathies for your family's loss. I have always found comfort in Revelation 21:4 And he [God

  8. May you be comforted in the loss of your mother and blessed with the years of memories that the gathering of family and friends always stimulates. Love, Stephanie

  9. Please except our condolences of the loss of your mom. She was an exceptional person and will be truly missed.
