Beverly C. Rasmussen Reina, 79, of Lake Charles died on Sunday, March 20, 2011 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Reina was born on December 26, 1931 in Shreveport, LA. She graduated from Lake Charles High School. In 1996 she retired as the secretary to the president at McNeese State University after 27 years. Mrs. Reina was involved in various campus committees and activities, including the MSU retirees club titled "Outriders."
She was an active and dedicated member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and was a Pink Lady at Christus St. Patrick Hospital.
Mrs. Reina had interest in arts and loved traveling.
Those left to cherish her memory are her three children, Nancy Womack and husband Burt of Indian Village, Paul Reina and wife Julie of Lake Charles, and David Reina of Topsy; and five grandchildren, Douglas Dutt, II and Michael Joseph Dutt both of Lafayette, and Stephanie Dutt, Casey Reina, and Nicholas Reina all of Lake Charles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Christian J. Rasmussen, Sr. and Clara Alley Rasmussen; and her brothers, Christian J. Jr., Larry C., and George A. Rasmussen.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon George Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a scripture service and rosary being held at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of services.

Our family has so many good memories of Beverly while working together at McNeese. She was a joy to us all.
