Charles Franklin Miller, age 70, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011, in St. John's Regional Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.
He was born September 10, 1940, in Marksville, Louisiana. He is survived by his wife, Frances Servotte Miller; two daughters, Mary Blunt and husband, Cris of Houston, TX and Amanda Greene of Bossier City, LA; three brothers, Larry Miller of Baton Rouge, LA, Ronald Miller of Dubach, LA and Donald Miller of Ulster, PA; two sisters, Nell Pankratz of Pasadena, TX and Ann Bruning of Lake Charles, LA and three grandchildren, Cristopher Blunt, Tyler Blunt and Ryan Blunt.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Hudie and Hilda Leblanc Miller and one sister, Melody Martin.
He served in the United States Army for thirty years and was stationed in Germany twenty-three years. He also served two tours of duty in the Viet Nam War. In 1990, he retired from the military as Master Sergeant and returned to Louisiana. He moved to Missouri in 2001 to make his home.
His funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Richard Beckham will officiate. Burial with military honors will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday in LeBlanc Cemetery in LeBlanc, LA. Visitation at the funeral home will start at 9:00 AM on Saturday.
