Chris Eugene Fristoe

December 25, 1925 ~ February 18, 2011

Mr. Chris E. Fristoe, 85, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011. He was born December 25, 1925 to Claude N. Fristoe and Jessie East Fristoe in Hoxie, AR. He was a longtime resident of Lake Charles.


He was a WWII veteran serving with the United States Air Force. Mr. Fristoe retired from the FAA after serving over 30 years of service and he was a former deputy for the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Department. He proudly served over 50 years of Masonic Rights where he was Secretary of the York Rite and Grand Commander of the State. Mr. Fristoe enjoyed fishing, traveling, and entertaining. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.


He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Alma Fristoe; three daughters, Deby Stuard and husband Dale of Hot Springs,AR, Cyndi Gill and husband Rusty of Moss Bluff, Chrissie Hall and husband Mike of Van Cleave, MS; four step daughters, Cathy Arabie and husband Steven of Lake Charles, Merlene Madden of Ruston, Shirlene DeForest and husband Lynn of Bastrop, and Vicki Morris of Lake Charles; one brother, Claude N. Fristoe and wife Susan of Mandeville; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.


Funeral service will be held Monday, February 21, 2011 at 10AM in Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie Estes will officiate. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2PM-6PM and will continue Monday at 8AM until time of service.
