Clarence R. Verrett, Jr., passed away March 26, 2011.
A resident of Iowa, he was a retired crane operator from Deep South Crane and an avid outdoorsman. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his mother, Lois Hofstetter of Lake Charles; two sons, Brian Verrett and wife, Glenda of Kountze, TX and Kevin Verrett and wife, Kim of DeRidder; one sister, Judy Vezinat of Lake Charles; one brother, Rick Burrell of Moss Bluff; uncles, Ronnie and Jack Gallier of Vidor, TX, and Sammie Gallier of Hemphill, TX; three aunts, Betty Wise of Warren, TX, Betty Gallier of Vidor, TX, and Peggy Doucet of Ville Platte; three grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Hazel Marie Verrett.
His memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Visitation will be held that day prior to the service beginning at 12 noon.
