David Jennings "DJ" St. Dizier

April 22, 1943 ~ June 28, 2016

David Jennings “DJ” St. Dizier, Jr., 73, of Marksville, LA died at 9:34 PM on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in his daughter’s Lake Charles residence.


Mr. St. Dizier was born on April 22, 1943 in Lake Charles, LA where he lived until moving to Pineville, LA in 1996 before moving to Marksville, LA in 2010. He attended LaGrange High School where he was a star football player. He left high school to join the US Coast Guard and was stationed in Port St. Joe, FL. Mr. St. Dizier was a retired pipeline welder and belonged to the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #106 and also to the Pipeliners Local Union #798.   He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.


He enjoyed fishing and had a passion for woodworking.


Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sharon Fuqua St. Dizier of Marksville, LA; four children, Michael St. Dizier (May), Steve St. Dizier (Tonya), Shellie Guidry (Abel), and Stephanie St. Dizier all of Lake Charles; a sister, Cathy Cobb (Donald) of Natchitoches, LA; a half sister, Judy Smith of Nacogdoches, TX; and ten grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Naomi and David St. Dizier, Sr.


Visitation will begin on Friday at Johnson Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM with a rosary and scripture service being held at 3:00 PM. Cremation will follow.

  7. I remember David from grade school on to graduation, he and Cathy both. Good people. I especially enjoyed our 45th High School Re because he was there and I was able to visit with him. I feel he is at peace now and is in God's presence as I hope to be someday. Prayers for all who loved him.&128591;
