Debra Ann Comeaux O'Quain

September 3, 1953 ~ July 9, 2011


Debra Ann Comeaux O'Quain, 57, of Lake Charles, entered into Heaven Saturday, July 9, 2011 from a local hospital.


Mrs. O'Quain was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She attended LaGrange High School and prided herself in being a loving Homemaker and Caregiver to her husband and boys. She was member of the Cajun French Music Association, the Les Bon Temp Dancers and was a regular of VFW Post 2130, Saturday night French Music. She also enjoyed fishing. Mrs. O'Quain was a member and Lay Minister of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.


She will be remembered for her smile, kindness, understanding, love for Special Ed children and Special Olympics.


She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of thirty eight years, Ricky James O'Quain; two sons, Jarson James O'Quain and Richard Thomas O'Quain, all of Lake Charles; two sisters, Sue Parker of Reeves and Brenda Gremillion of Lake Charles and step- father, George Fruge of Lake Charles.


She was preceded in death, by her parents, Freddie Comeaux and Annie Sonnier Fruge, and two brothers, Frederick Wayne Comeaux, Jr. and David Glen Comeaux.


A memorial mass will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Father John Huckaby will officiate. Interment will be at a later date in Highland Memory Gardens. Gathering of friends Tuesday will be from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 6:00 PM in the funeral home.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
