Elliott Joseph Tullier, Jr, 96, of Lake Charles passed away at 10:36 AM on Sunday, October 29, 2023 in a local hospice facility.
Mr. Tullier was born on December 13, 1926 in Baton Rouge where he was a graduate of Istruma High School. He furthered his education at LSU receiving a bachelor’s degree of science. During his time at LSU, he served his country in the US Navy and graduated when he returned. In 1968 he moved to Lake Charles where he began his career as a chemical engineer with PPG. Mr. Tullier was a member of St. Luke Simpson United Methodist Church.
Upon retirement, he and his wife traveled extensively in their motor home. Their favorite place to go was the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. He was such a fan of LSU, it was said that he bled purple and gold. Mr. Tullier was a season ticket holder during his son’s childhood.
Those left to cherish his memory are three sons, Dale Tullier (Eileen) of Denham Springs, Dennis Tullier of Lake Charles, and Jay Tullier (Dell) of Lake Charles; a sister, Carole Porter (Charles) of Kingwood, TX; five grandchildren, Heather Hand, Joycelin Ebbers, Amanda Miller, Rachel Tullier, and Elliott Tullier, III; and seven great grandchildren, Zackery Ebbers, Alyssa Ebbers, Skilynn Hand, Arianna Hand, Serenity Miller, Scott Miller, and Lain Tullier.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Tullier and his parents, Elliott J. Tullier Sr. and Ella Tullier.
A memorial service is pending. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.

We’ll miss him. EJ was a great fellow and friend to me for the last 60 years.
