Emery John Fruge

Mr. Emery John Fruge`, 89, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was born in Iota and was a resident of Lake Charles.
Mr. Fruge` retired from the Marine Division with the Sheriff's department after 37 years of service and he also retired from Gulf State Utility after 41 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards, especially poker, along with playing card tricks. He was a member of the American Legion Post #1 which he was the commander.
Mr. Fruge` is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mazietta Jane Fruge`; daughter, Gwendolyn R. Fruge and husband Billy Ray Ladano of Grand Lake; sister, Lyla Lee Broussard of Orlando, FL; two grandchildren, Megan Ryan Fruge and John Emery Fruge.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Bridgette Faye Fruge`.
