Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. A couple of years ago the three Jeffs, Geoff Dille, Geoffrey West, and Jeffrey Bright who were all pilot/friends of bakersfield, Calif all went to Castle airforce base in Atwater, Calif in a new cessna 182. I,geoff west, was at the controls. We all had a blast that day. Later that afternoon Geoff Dille taught me my first instrument flying lesson as Van nuys airport, our destination, was socked in with fog. I remember driving them both home to Bakersfield that night. Wonderful times. He was a wonderful friend and I know he is without a doubt with his Lord right now. not a bad trade-off I'd say. But he will be missed.

  2. As the Operations Manager of Inyokern Airport I met Geoff in the mid 90's. Geoff was a great Flight Instructor and trained many students at Inyokern Airport; many of whom are private pilots and are still flying today. Geoff was liked by everyone at IYK and he was always willing to lend a hand. He had a great passion for aviation and was an awesome meteorologist too. Geoff and I would go eat lunch at this Mexican restaurant and I could not believe the amount of salsa he put on his food, he would go through 3 or 4 bowls in one sitting! I saw Geoff about 8 months ago when he came back to IYK to ferry an aircraft back east for someone. We spent about 45 minutes in my office talking about all the different things he had been doing. It was great to see him and get caught up. I am truly saddened by his loss. My sincere condolences to the family. The Seymour Family.

  3. Dear Ellen and Family,I am so sorry for your loss. It was a real honor and privilege to get to know Geoff. Recently I was flying and as I exited the plane and saw the captain, I immediately thought of Geoff. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  4. Geoff was a personal friend and will be missed by all. When we first met I took him to see Creadence Clearwater Revisited at Delta Downs. We had a blast dancing in the isle and visiting the strangers all around us. He never met a stranger. I also had invited him to my sisters for a crawfish boil -he loved it and my family loved him. I will miss him…

  5. Geoff was my flight instructor at Inyokern Airport. I am so sorry to hear about his death. He was a wonderful man and a great friend. I will always think fondly of him. My best to his family.

  6. I was so sad to read about Geoff. We were friends as children going through confirmation together. Please know the family and friends are in my prayers.

  7. I will always remember that he was very dedicated to his daughters. He always wanted the very best for them, even if sometimes we thought it was unfair at the time! Love and dedication like that comes around only so often, and like you I will cherish the memories I have of him as we were growing up, curfews and all! Nicki

  8. I wish my arms were long enough to reach out and hold each of you in this time of need. We are remembering Geoff too when he was a young guy on the back of the horses at the Possum Trot Farm. Remember the good times, hold on to those memories and trust in the fact he was a Christian and is now in God's care.

  9. My heart goes out to your family at your time of loss.I was just getting to know Geoffrey,he was a pretty nice guy.I know how much he will be missed.Take care and love one another.Gods Blessings be with you always.

  10. We are so sorry for your loss. Your family has been and will continue to be in our prayers over the next few weeks and months. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you. We love you!

  11. We did not know Mr. Dille, but we are honored to know his daughter, Christine. We pray for peace, comfort, and strength for you and your family through this most difficult time.

  12. While the loss of a loved one is never easy, it is most certainly the hardest when they are taken from us too soon. We offer our sincere condolence and deepest sympathy for you and your family on the loss of your husband. May the outpouring of sympathy, the kind acts of friends and strangers and the comfort in knowing that your loss is felt by many, help you through this difficult time.May you find the courage and strength to move forward in peace and confidence and in knowing that his was a life well-lived.All our love,Laurie Brad Ingoe

  13. You can't imagine the friendship that developed between Geoff and me starting in a cockpit in 2000 where he would give me my BFRs. In between, we'd hang around Fox, he'd stay over the house and even had a key to come and go as he needed. Know what a truly wonderful, trusting, caring man he was. Our most sincere condolences.Joyce and Jonathan Ames
