Gertie Mae Boudreaux

Gertie S. Boudreaux, 81, of Lake Charles past away, Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in a Covina, California hospital, while visiting relatives.


She was a native of Church Point, La and a graduate of Church Point High School. Mrs. Boudreaux lived in the Lake Charles area for the past fifty-eight years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in LeBleu Settlement and the Ladies Altar Society. She enjoyed her card games with her card group, but most of all enjoyed being with her family.


Survivors include four daughters, Norma Richard and husband Gerald of Grand Lake, Judy Pierrottie and husband Joe Pierrottie, Jr. of Lake Charles, Bonnie Ardoin and husband Carl of Chloe, and Priscilla Conner and husband Maurice of Iowa; two sons, Michael James Boudreaux of Lake Charles, and Chris Adam Boudreaux and wife Shawna of Ragley; twenty-six grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren; one brother, James Burt Sonnier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Joseph Boudreaux; sons Roger Dale, Tommy James, and Ricky Joseph Boudreaux; son-in-law, Michael R. Broussard; daughter-in-law, Robbie Boudreaux, and a brother, Gerald Sonnier.


Her funeral will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 21, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Alan Trouille will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Saturday, with Cursillo rosary at 7:00 PM and continue, Sunday, from 9:00 AM until time of service in the funeral home.
