Gertrude Dumatrait Boudreaux

Gertrude Marie Dumatrait Boudreaux, 93, of Lake Charles, LA died at 12:34 AM on Friday, July 29, 2011 in her residence.

Mrs. Boudreaux was born April 17, 1918 to Emile and Emily (Gondran) Dumatrait. She attended St. Charles Academy and worked in the family business, Dumatrait's Grocery Store.

A homemaker, dear friend, loving aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her son, Charles G. Boudreaux, Jr. and wife Carolyn; daughter, Rebecca Boudreaux Duhon; and sister, Mildred Smithers Bell. She also leaves to cherish her memory, six grandchildren, Andria McCann Wild and husband Brian, Corey N. Boudreaux and wife Holly, Charles G. Boudreaux, IV, Maury Maust Wolverton and husband Steve, Chris D. Duhon and wife Laurie, and Alya Duhon; ten great-grandchildren, Jordan and Rhett McCann, Emily and Reese Boudreaux, London and Sierra Maust, Bailey, Madison, and Christopher Duhon, and Kya Davis-Duhon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, C. G. Boudreaux; two brothers, William and Henry Dumatrait; and an infant sister, Margaret Dumatrait.

Her funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Dan Landry will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 AM until the start of the service.
