Gilbert Roy Israel, 47, of Hayes, LA died Tuesday, October 05, 2010 in a Jennings care facility.

Mr. Israel was a lifelong resident of the Hayes and Bell City area. He was a graduate of Bell City High School. He worked most of his life as a Car Salesman and Certified Sales Manager in the Motor Cycle industry. Mr. Israel enjoyed the time he worked for the Lake Charles Harley Davidson Store.

Mr. Israel also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and visiting friends and family. He will be most remembered as a loving person, for his sense of humor and his smile.

He leaves to honor his memory, his father, Harry Joseph Israel of Iowa; two sons, Rocky Troy Israel of Angleton, TX and Mark Wayne Israel and wife Megan of Morse, LA; one daughter, Bailey Elaine Israel of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Leslie Macayla Israel of Lake Charles and Koden John Israel of Morse, LA and numerous family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Kershaw Israel and a brother, Curtis Israel.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 8, 2010 in Hayes First Baptist Church. Reverend Kelly Vigo will officiate. Interment will follow in Hayes Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation Friday will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
