Harry Lee Tommasi

November 25, 1965 ~ February 21, 2011

Harry Lee Tommasi, 45, of Lake Charles passed away, Monday, February 21, 2011 in his residence.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles and a graduate of LaGrange Senior High School. Harry was co-owner of Tommasi Supply Company and after his father's retirement he helped manage Tommasi Enterprises. He loved is family and friends and spent a lot of time at the beach with his nieces and nephews. Harry was an avid animal lover. He attended First United Methodist Church of Lake Charles.

Survivors include his mother, Lena Mae Baronet Tommasi; his siblings, Rose Tommasi, Tony Tommasi and wife Kathy, Debra Savoie and husband Dennis, Tina Arendt and husband Larry, Steve Tommasi and wife Stephanie, Russell Tommasi and wife Tammy, and Randall Tommasi all of Lake Charles and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Louis Tony Tommasi.

His funeral will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 24, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Harry Stewart will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Wednesday with a Cursillo Rosary at 6:30 PM, and continue of Thursday, from 9:00 AM until time of service in the funeral home.

Harry was such a sweet person, and so handsome! He will be so missed by family and friends.   4. Lena Mae; I remember years ago when I would take off on my bike and go meet my best friend Lee at your Mom and Dad's home. Plus, I also know you from school knowing that you and your Brother were close. It is in time like these that you really need your Big Brother and best friend. I'm so glad that he and Becky were able to come forl your support. Having lost a Grand Daughter six years ago like you loosing your Son is not easy. Elbie and I can't be there but rest assured you and the whole family have our prayers. May they console you and remember the good memories that you had with your son.

  6. Mr. Harry, I will always remember your smile and warm welcome each and every time I went into Tommasi's. As a kid, I loved going to Tommasi's with Mom and Dad. It won't be the same walking through those doors and not seeing you there behind the counter waiting with smile and a whitty comment. You will be missed by so many people.

  7. My friend, we laughed together, we cried together. We had some of the best times doing everything together and we had some of the best times doing nothing together. You were there for me, I was there for you. We went our different ways, talking once to catch up and to let you know I still thought of you often. How I am so very grateful we had that talk. Harry, I will NEVER forget you. I Love you and will cherish all the times we had.

  12. We attended Faith Bible Church with Harry years ago. He and Jason Stewart were always around, helping out and making us all smile. He will be greatly missed.
