Herman Joseph Pousson, Sr.

Herman Joseph Pousson, Sr., 73, of Lake Charles died Monday August 22, 2016 at a local hospital.


Herman was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles. He enjoyed French Music, dancing and bar-b-quing with his family. He was a brick mason for over 40 years and an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be most remembered for his love and devotion to his family, generosity and smile.


He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna Roberts Pousson; brother, Donald Pousson Sr.,and infant granddaughter, Kandice Dora Pousson. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Bubba Pousson and wife Sandy, Kinder; Chris Pousson and wife Trina, Kinder; Gwen P. LeBleu and husband Ronnie (Jr.), Lake Charles; Michelle P. Firmature and husband Michael; and Jason Pousson; 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Pat Pousson and wife Sandra; Bill Pousson and wife Darlene; Paul Pousson and wife Diane; and companion, Lisa Rougeau and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.


Visitation will be from on Wednesday August 24, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 PM. Visitation will resume Thursday from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday August 25, 2016 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery.
