Hilton Joseph Guillory, 68, of Lake Charles died at 11:45 PM on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in a local hospital.
Mr. Guillory was born in Church Point, LA on February 14, 1943. He was raised in California and returned to Lake Charles in 2001 to care for his parents. Mr. Guillory was a self employed contractor who excelled in his drywall business.
He had a passion for Harley motorcycles and owned two of them. He also enjoyed traveling. Some of his happiest moments were spent with family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jeanette Guillory of Lake Charles; four children, Paul Guillory and Nikki Holmes both of Cave Junction, OR; Vicky and Mary Guillory both of Forestville, CA; two step sons, Mike and Jason Polk both of Lake Charles; ten grandsons; one granddaughter; and one great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorinia and Ignace Guillory; a son, Eric Guillory; a brother, Edward Guillory; and two sisters, Mary Hogan and Elizabeth Guillory.
At Hilton's request, he was cremated under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home and wanted no services. There will be a gathering of family and friends at home on Friday from 12:00 noon until.
Dear Jeanette and FamilyWe wanted to send our condolences to you and your family. Hilton was a neighbor of my mothers for several years. The children we very small during that time. Mom had fond memories of the kindness Hilton had shared. He had a beautiful smile, and was willing to help anyone in need. He will be missed, and God has chosen yet another angel to look down apon us all.Blessings to all that knew and loved Hilton.
