Jessica Rita Nunez Bauman

Jessica Rita Nunez Bauman, 21, formerly of Lake Charles, passed away at 4:10 PM, Sunday, August 15, 2010 in a Hammond, LA hospital.

She was a native and life resident of the Lake Charles area, graduating from Barbe High School and moving to Springfield, LA recently. She loved photography and was an accomplished artist.

She is survived by her husband, Cory Bauman of Springfield, LA; her father, Ken Nunez; two brothers, Kendall and Joshua Nunez all of Grand Chenier; her maternal grandparents, Horace and Shirley Fontenot of Lake Charles; Uncles and Aunts, Kenneth and Charlotte Nunez, Kenny and Donna Fontenot, Kevin and Monica Fontenot, Kent Fontenot and fiance'e Paula, Kurt and Melissa Fontenot, and Krissy, her Godmother, and Blake Ward; her Godfather, Dwayne Nunez; special family members, D'Juana Nunez Fontenot, Paula and Joe McCall and all of her special pets.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine Fontenot Nunez; paternal grandparents, Kenneth Sr. and Rita Nunez; and an aunt, Glenda McPherson.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Creole. Rev. Timothy Goodly will officiate. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Grand Chenier under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Uche Adiukwu will officiate the graveside service. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday with a rosary at 6:00 PM in the funeral home. Visitation will continue on Thursday in the funeral home from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
