Jimmy Lee Leger passed away on May 26, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. Jimmy was born on August 27, 1948 in Eunice, LA to Joseph Emery Leger and Pearl Granger Leger.

He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a hard-working family man. Jimmy was a proud United States Army Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1970 in the 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry, 196 Light Infantry Brigade. He retired from PPG after many years of service.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Carol Hoffpauir Leger; daughters, Holly Robertson (Terry) and Heather Leger; son, Bryan Leger (Shaylyn); grandchildren, Brycen Edwards, Kallie MacDonald, and Hayden Robertson; sister, Joyce Anderson; and brother, Silton Leger. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Milbon Leger, Norma Boudreaux, Wilbert Leger and Allen Leger.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff at 2:00pm with Father Aubrey Gilbeau officiating. Burial will follow in Old Richie Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00am until service time at the funeral home.
