John David "Junior Boy" Clement, Jr. 71, of Lake Charles died at 8:30 PM on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 in a local hospital.
Mr. Clement was born on February 21, 1940 in Creole, LA. He lived in Lake Charles for over 30 years. Mr. Clement was employed by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office for more than 20 years; most recently working at the correctional facility. He previously worked as a security guard for CCOA Bingo for 16 years. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church where he was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Geanie Clement of Lake Charles; two daughters, Tammy Vincent and husband Charles and Stacy Clement all of Cameron; one brother, Thomas Gayle "Poochie" Clement of Lake Charles; a half sister, Cindy Gatlin of Sulphur; two grand daughters, Karrie Fontenot and Brenlee Vincent; one great grand daughter, Kylee Fontenot; two step daughters, Crystal McIntosh and husband Greg of Moss Bluff and Christina Hesse and husband Nathan of Iowa; one step son, Chris Sikes of Lake Charles; a step grandson, Tucker Hesse; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eve and John Clement, Sr.; two sisters, Emily Clement Miller and Betty Clement; and a half brother, Dean Davis.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, October 22, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
