John H. Roth

John Houston Roth, 88, of Westlake died Wednesday September 7, 2011 in a local hospital with his family at his side.

John was born November 22, 1922 in Lake Charles to Frank Valentine Roth and Lillie Mae Shattuck Roth. He was a graduate of Lake Charles High School and served our country in the Army during WWII. John retired from Halliburton after 32 years of service as a dispatcher, a member of St. John Bosco Catholic church and a 4th degree Knight of Columbus in the Father Veillard Assembly.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ethel Deshotel Roth, Westlake; three sons, Chris Roth and wife Jeanette, Hillsville, VA; Gary Roth and wife Theresa, of Lake Charles; and Mike Roth, Ontario, California; two daughters, Shelia Roth, of Austin, TX and Agnes Shultz, Crystal Beach, TX; twelve grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 AM Monday September 12, 2011 at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Westlake with Father Albert Borel officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM Sunday September 11 and from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM Monday at Johnson funeral home. A rosary and scripture service will be at 6:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Mrs.Cormie…I remenber soo much,too much.This hard for me.I was soo close to him your family.I cry for your loss.I know this is hard for you,me also.I remember the cabinets he made,living next door to him.I remember him mowing yards,his beautiful blue eyes,sooo manymemories.This hurts me.I still love your family,I miss ALL of you,yes ALL of you.Please allow the Lord to comfort you.Bible says the Lord is the God of all comfort.Your comfort is in His hands.My heart goes out to you.Sammy was like a brother to me,a brother I never had.I still love you adn think of you very often.Days of Sammy being my neighbor brings back many memories.Watching him mow the grass,visiting in the little house next door to us.The way he loved ice cream, headaches he's get from eating it too fast!I just wanted to tell you I still love all of you,your family adn pray for the Lord to be ther for all of you.In Jesus name Amen.
