Joseph H. Bult

Joseph H. Bult, 85, of Lake Charles passed away at 8:00 AM, Monday November 28, 2011 in a local hospital.

He was a native and life long resident of Lake Charles and owned and operated Joe's Radiator Service for many years. Mr. Bult also retired from the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury.

Survivors include his wife of 67 yrs, Ella Moore Bult; two sons, Mitchell L. Bult and Gerald H. Bult and wife Patsy all of Lake Charles; son-in-law, Conrad Butts, Lake Charles; close family friend, Robert Young; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Bradley and Amelia Sensat. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Jean Butts; brothers, Raymond, Fred, and Jimmy Bult.

His funeral will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 1, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Henry Bowdon will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Wednesday, and continue from 9:00 AM until time of service Thursday in the funeral home.

  1. Aunt Ella, Mitch and Jerry,We send our love to you and wish we could be there. Tommy is not feeling to good. Uncle Joe was truly an amazing man. He loved his family and boy did he love life! We had so many good times. I remember all the times we made home made ice cream. I remember how much he loved Moma's crab stew. Our thoughts are with you and our hearts are heavy with sorrow. We love you.

  5. To Mrs. Ella, Jerry and Mitch: What a wonderful legacy Mr. Joe left. I have such wonderful memories of going to Mr. Joe's shop with my Dad, although it probably didn't happen that often. Mrs. Ella, you and Mr. Joe were such good friends to my mom and dad. Thank you. Jerry and Mitch, you are the best neighbors possible!
