Katherine Elliott

Katherine Elliott, 84, of Lake Charles passed away; Monday, February 21, 2011 in her home surrounded by her family and loved ones.


She was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles and a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Mrs. Elliott was also a member of the Catholic Daughters. She was the owner and broker of Elliott Realty Inc. for over thirty-five years and a much respected member of the Southwest Louisiana Association of Realtors.


Survivors include son, Daniel A. Elliott and wife Carol, and daughter, Kathy Nell Elliott all of Lake Charles, son, Don Elliott and wife Leona of LeBleu Settlement, and daughter, Carolyn Elliott Richard and husband Richard of San Antonio, TX; eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Elliott; two sons, Robert A. Elliott and Charles A. Elliott; and three grandsons, Will and Todd Elliott, and Damon Richard.


Her Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 25, 2011 in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Reverend T. L. Herlong will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Thursday, with a Scripture Service at 6:00 PM followed by a Rosary at 6:30 PM and continue from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM, Friday.

  3. I wanted to give my condolence, I remember her being the sweetest lady and such a giveing person always there when people were in need, always friendly and loving. Dad always loved her and admired her. I remember her always dressed very nicly and always presented forself with the utmost respect. She will be missed.

Katherine, as my parents Russel and Lurlie called her, was as true a friend that one could every hope for. Always caring, sharing and showing all her wonderful smile.
