Kathleen Fontenot

Kathleen Fontenot, 33, of Lake Charles died at 9:05 PM on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 in a local hospital.


Kathleen was born in Lathrop, MO on January 18, 1977. She lived in Lake Charles for the past five years.


She was a loving and dedicated mother and wife. Always putting others before herself. Kathleen was very unselfish and giving at all times.


Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Shannon Fontenot; and four children, Justin, Layne, Kaytelynn, and Sabrina Fontenot all of Moss Bluff.


Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 26, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 2:30 PM.

  2. I MET KAT THIS YEAR. WHILE WAITING IN LINE FOR OUR KIDS AT SCHOOL. SHE WAS SUCH A FRIENDLY PERSON.I LOVED TALKING TO HER. I SEEN HER MONDAY AT SCHOOL AND SHE WAS SO HAPPY ALL SHE KEPT SAYING SHE WAS HIGH ON LIFE…SHE WAS READY TO HAVE THE BABY..THIS WEEK HAS BEEN LONELY WITHOUT HER..WE ALL WILL MISS HER!!

  3. It is hard to put into my feelings into words. Please know that your family will always be in my thoughts and prayers. My heart is heavy, but I know she is watching over all of us in this difficult time and will help us through. I will always remember her kind and joyful nature.

  6. Kathleen was an amazing person. I met her last year because our sons were in the same class. She loved her children and it showed in every way. She was truly a remarkable person and she will be greatly missed. The family will be in my prayers.
