Kathryn Bradley Stone Clift 75, died in her Moss Bluff home Monday November 7 at 6pm. She stepped into her heavenly home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Clift was born in Smackover, AR July 7,1936 but was a long time resident of Moss Bluff, La. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church, Lake Charles before it's closing, First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff, and most recently at Bellview Baptist Church in Westlake. Mrs. Clift worked as a retail associate at Muellers, Nason's in Moss Bluff, and South City Paint in Lake Charles. Her real passions centered on helping people. As the first family to live in The Alamo subdivision she tried to be a friend to all. Mrs. Clift served as Senior Adult activities coordinator at her church, prepared and delivered hundreds of ministry meals, organized countless number of wedding and baby showers and receptions, as well as maintained lifelong relationships from high school and church.
Surviving family include husband Don Clift and four children; Two sons Dr. Randy Stone and wife Tara of New Orleans, Kevin Stone and wife Kim of Hendersonville, TN; Two daughters Deborah Stone and Jana Stone both of Lake Charles, one brother Norman Bradley and wife Bonnie of Reeves, La. As well as 7 grandchildren Joni Stone Shore of Fort Worth, TX, Zachary and Luke Elter of Lake Charles, Seth and Spencer Stone of Denver, CO, and Alex and Zoe Stone of Hendersonville, TN. Kathryn was preceded in death by parents W. Terrell and Helen Bradley, brother Joe Bradley and first husband Jimmy F. Stone.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 11AM at Bellview Baptist Church in Westlake, Interment will follow at Ritchie cemetery in Moss Bluff. Family visitation will be Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home from 5-9PM. Visitation will continue Thursday from 9AM until time of service at the church.
