Kenneth Louis Yonich II

December 24, 1990 ~ December 16, 2010

Kenneth Louis Yonich II, age 19, died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Spring, Texas on December 16, 2010. He was born on December 24, 1990 in Pittsburgh.


Louis is survived by his loving parents, Ken and Laura Ieyoub Yonich and his sisters, Jessica Erin and Sarah Frances, all of Spring, his maternal grandparents, Julie Christ Miller and husband Remy and Dr. Kalil P.Ieyoub, all of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and his parental grandmother, Barbara Yonich from Pittsburgh. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Anthony M. Yonich.


Louis brought joy and love to all who knew him. His smile was contagious and his friends and family treasured his warm hugs and the fact that he was always genuinely happy to be with them. He loved to laugh and was an avid outdoorsman.


He graduated from Klein High School in 2009 and attended Lone Star College. He was employed in his family's business. Louis was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Spring, Texas.


He leaves behind an enormous and loving family and a multitude of friends who are consoled by the knowledge that they will one day see him in heaven.


Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, December 20, 2010 at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. Father Aubrey Guilbeau will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation Sunday will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a scripture service beginning at 6:30 PM. Visitation Monday will be from 10:00 AM until 12:15 PM in the funeral home.


Pallbearers are Chris Ieyoub, John Ieyoub, Johan Kjellsten, Eric Yonich, Tony Yonich and Danny Miller. Louis' cousins and friends will be led by honorary pallbearers Christopher Ieyoub, Alexander Kjellsten, Zack Yonich, Hunter Thibodeaux and Robbie Abrol.


Memorial gifts may be made to a cause embraced by Louis' extended family, the Autism Services of Southwest Louisiana, 3006 Common St. Lake Charles, LA, 70601.
