  2. God bless you and your family Mr. Fontenot. Kirk and the rest of your family welcomed this third grader into your home many years ago during my first experience with Little League Baseball. Guys like Kirk could make a new kid to the group feel comfortable and right at home with his sense of fairness and his wit of course. His leadership qualities continued in high school, on and off the field. If we were ever in a bind during a football game, I always felt good knowing Kirk was the only one talking in the huddle, providing direction and encouragement. I'm deeply sad about our loss, but feel really good that I knew Kirk. I have some great memories to pull from. A pitching artist, a dynamite quarterback and a tremendous friend… Know that we're here if you need us for anything.-Gerald McDaniel Family

  3. I am sorry for your loss of Kirk. Isaiah 49:15 says that God does not forget us. May you find comfort in the Bible's promise that there will be a resurrection.(John 5:28,29) Luke 8:52-56 tells us that the dead are sleeping. Almighty God, Jehovah assures us that He will end tears, pain, death and mourning. (Revelation 21:4,5)
