Lessie Cooley

Lessie Cooley, age 80, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2011, at a local hospital.
Born March 1, 1930, in Church Point, she was a resident of Lake Charles. Mrs. Cooley was a homemaker and a seamstress. Preceding her in death was her husband, Houston Cooley, and a grandson, Ryan Miller. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Survivors include her two sons, Danny Miller and wife, Mandy of Carlyss and Tim Miller and wife, Dana of Newcomerstown, OH; one daughter, Pamela Richard of Lake Charles; one sister, Vernice Burgess of Shreveport; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Ken Sifford will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 23, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and again on Thursday, February 24, from 8 a.m. until time of service.

So very sorry to hear of Lessie s passing away. She loved her children and grandchildren and baby sat for her great gradchildren with a beautiful smile. Lessie was a valued friend and Bty shop friend to me. We go way back when she lived across from the parsonage and the McCaws would bring Pam and Tim to SS and church. What a loss.
