Lester Jones was born in Louise, Mississippi March 3, 1951 to the late Roosevelt Jones and Lillie Bea Jones.

He moved to St. Louis, Missouri at the age of five years old and was raised their by his parents.

He attended Loverture Elementary School and graduated from Overland Technical Ins. High School. He joined the United States Navy in 1976 and served until 1986. He moved to Lake Charles Louisiana and worked as a cement finisher until he fell ill.

He was a member of Redemption Tabernacle Full Gospel Church, where he was a faithful member and training to be a deacon.

He is preceded in death by his soulmate Deanna Bryant.

He leaves to cherish a sister Lillian Jones and a brother Rodney Morgan of St. Louis, Missouri; Helen Edwards, Jimmi Edwards, Monica Edwards, Alfred Edwards, Jason Bryant, Rodney Bryant, Brayden Thaxton, and Vicky Dunbar.
