  7. So many fun memories flood my mind. He was the fun cool uncle. He shared his time with me as a young girl. Kandie and I had the best times with him growing up. He was the first to let me drive on the hwy in his new jeep before I had my driver’s license or knew how to drive a stick shift. He was one of the ones who gave me my awful childhood nickname. But Uncle Daryl said it with his smile and I knew he loved me so I was unbothered. He wrote me my first letter while he was away in basic training. He was just special and thoughtful like that. Then, as I grew up he continued to be present. He set me up with my first financial advisor so I would start my retirement savings and life insurance as a fresh college graduate. He cared deep. He let you know he was proud of you and when you needed to fix something. He didn’t sugar coat things. He was one of the persons I did not want to go to a restaurant with because he expected quality service if he was paying, and if he did not receive it you knew about it. We need more Uncle Daryl’s today. Watching you be there for your kids and family taught me so much. I never probably told you but you made a huge impact on my life and I am so proud to be your niece. Love you big and we miss you.
    Love, Stacey
