Marie Lynette Simon

Marie Lynnette Simon, 63, of Lake Charles, died Saturday November 27 in a local hospital after an extended illness.

She was born December 12, 1946 in Portsmouth, VA and was of the catholic faith. Marie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and worked for many years as a Certified Nurses Aide. She loved nature and especially loved watching her hummingbirds.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Rudy Simon, Lake Charles; daughters, Anita Burnett, Virginia, and Ashley Thibodeaux and husband Nick, Houma, LA; son, Vance Reale and wife Delia, Lake Charles; grandchildren, Jessica Burnett, Logan Simon, Baleigh Simon, Ethan Thibodeaux, and Mercedes "Say Say" Thibodeaux; best friend Princess Fontenot and beloved four legged friend Bear-Bear.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Wednesday December 1, 2010 at Johnson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM with Father Wayne LeBleu officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
