Pearl Agatha Tauzin

Pearl Agatha Tauzin, 85, of Sulphur died at 10:35 AM on Friday, September 23, 2011 in a Sulphur care facility.

Mrs. Tauzin was born on February 5, 1926 in Breaux Bridge, LA. She resided in Westlake most of her life until retiring and moving to Hackberry. Recently she lived in Sulphur for the past 2 years. Mrs. Tauzin was well known in Westlake as a beautician. She took great pride in her business "Pearl's" which was located in her home.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Sulphur and active in the Counseling on Aging Organization. Mrs. Tauzin was a talented ceramic maker and also enjoyed fishing with her husband.

Those left to cherish her memory is her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Francis Tauzin of Sulphur; three children, Renella Thomas and husband Jack of Beulah, WY, Michael Francis Tauzin of Moss Bluff, and Jenny Bono and husband Ken of Sweetlake, LA; two grandchildren, Heather Anderson and husband Josh of Oklahoma and Steven Bono and wife Jenny of Grand Lake, LA; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Laurence and Dudley Green; a brother, Donald Green; and her twin brother, Earl Green.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 26, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Aubrey Guilbeau will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.

  1. Mike, Renella, Heather, and familiesI am so sorry for your loss. My heart and prayers go out for you and for Mr. Tauzin. I enjoyed seeing him on TV for the Hometown Patriot tribute a while back. I remember spending a beautiful day with the Tauzin's in Hackberry many years ago-we had a great time and some great food.

  4. So many fond memories of Mrs. Tauzin from all being kids with our camps next to each other in Bundicks Lake to watching Mr/Mrs Tauzin dancing when we lived in Westlake. Richard (brother) and I send our condolences to the family.
