Ronald Lee Kershaw

Ronald Lee Kershaw, 39, of Lake Charles, LA died at 3:23 PM on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 in a local hospital.


Born March 7, 1972 in Sulphur, La, Mr. Kershaw was raised in Hackberry, LA and lived most of his adult life in Lake Charles. He was a graduate of Hackberry High School and served his country in the U.S. Army for the three years. He was the owner and operator of S.W.LA Lien Enforcement, where he was known as "The Repo Man." Ronald was a member of the American Legion, loved fishing and crabbing, and enjoyed cooking and spending time on his boat. He will always be remembered for his big heart and as a loving father.


Mr. Kershaw is survived by his children, Jeremy Fulton, Collin Kershaw, and Kayleigh Kershaw; wife, Jill Johnson Kershaw; mother, Lynne Delon and husband Ricky; step-mom, Terry Kershaw; brother, Gerald Kershaw; sisters, Kristee Montou, Tami Cornay, and Julie Kershaw; step-sisters, Siera Hobbs, Cherie Delon and Danielle Delon; grandparents, Nellie Mae Perrodin and Irene Kershaw; close friend, Amy Clift; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.


He was preceded in death by his father, Martin Kershaw.


His funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 26, 2011 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Rocky East will officiate. Burial will be in Dutch Cove Cemetery in Sulphur, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM and continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.

  5. The Blue Spader brothers of Bravo Company 1/26 Infantry send their deep sadness for the much too early farewell of such a special person. He was the center of attention everywhere he went. He would bend over backwards to lend a hand and always made us laugh. May he rest in peace and join our brothers who have made their way forward. Our thoughts are with his family.
