Scott Finley

Scott Finley, 63, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 4:52 AM on Friday, July 15, 2016 in a local hospital.

 

Scott was born March 12, 1953 in Lake Charles, LA, graduated from high school in Panama and has lived in Lake Charles for the past thirty-nine years.  He served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a second generation survival instructor and worked in instrumentation for thirty-five years.  He was a longtime member of University Baptist Church.  Scott enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, but his true passion in life was for his wife, children, and grandchildren.

 

Scott is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Polly Finley; daughter, Amber Dalovisio and husband Chad; son, Jacob Finley and wife Christin; parents, Jacob and Virginia Finley, all of Lake Charles; siblings, Vicki Miller and husband Darrell, Guy Finley, all of Lake Charles, Jake Finley and wife Janeann of Cedar Creek, TX, and Gina Finley of Lake Charles; and grandchildren, Madaline, Mireille, Jacob, Jaxson, Sophia, and Oliver.

 

He was preceded in death by his son, Caleb Scott Finley.

 

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 18, 2016 at University Baptist Church.  Brother John Astling will officiate.  Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery.  Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and continue on Monday at the church from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.

A true blessing to meet and not many dull conversations, lots of laughter and tons of knowledge was passed along over the years. Thank you Scott for all of the memories and good times growing up.   6. I worked with Scott at L'Auberge and have the fondest of memories of each and every time our paths crossed. I'm saddened to hear of this passing.
