Sharon Diane Bollman Mickey

February 17, 1943 ~ May 8, 2024

Sharon D. Mickey, 81, passed away May 8, 2024 in a local care facility with her family by her side.

Sharon was born on February 17, 1943 in Chino, CA, eventually residing in Lake Charles.  Sharon had two sons, John Mickey (Regina) and Steve Mickey (Missy) with husband, Tom Mickey.  She has six grandchildren, Karly Leavell (Michael), Caleb, Jillian, Haley Pruet (Sean), Paige Brasseaux, and Maicol Brasseaux; four great grandchildren, Camren, Natalie, Madalyn, and Saige.  She also leaves behind a sister, Beverly Hawley (Ray); and sister in law, Chella Bollman.

She was preceded in death by her biological father, Stanley Bollman; mother, Bettie Conners (Jack); brother, Richard Bollman (Judy); and great granddaughter, Caroline Leavell.

Sharon was the kindest person anyone could have met.  She has touched the lives of so many people.

For the last three years, she was blessed to have become roommates and friends of Betty Stanley and her family the Lowrey’s (Ken, Toby, and Courtney).  What a blessing!!  Mom, you are an angel.  We will all sure miss that beautiful smile and kindness of your heart.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, please take the time to contribute an act of kindness to someone.  Mom would appreciate that the most.

Until we see you again, we love you Mom.  Thanks for being you.  We are blessed.

A private gathering will be held on Sunday, May 12th to honor Sharon on Mother’s Day.  Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.

A huge thanks to all for their prayers and also to all of her caregivers.

Guestbook

  1. Sharon was the Best sister, daughter to mom and dad, mother and wife . When we was younger she would call Richard and I home before mom got home from work so we wouldn’t get in trouble for being out of the yard.
She was especially fond of older people often complementing women on their hair telling them how beautiful they looked.

  2. John and Steve,
Sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Your mom was the nicest lady.

  3. Sharon was one of my very best high school friends. She did my hair for my wedding in 1963! We saw each other rarely over the next 60 years, but the friendship was always there when we did. Sincere sympathy to her family! I know she will be missed! RIP my dear friend!i
