Tyler Chantelle Barnes, 17, of Sulphur died at 6:33 PM on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 in the Texas Children's Hospital.
Tyler was born on October 11, 1993 in Lake Charles and lived in Sulphur. She attended Sulphur High School. Tyler was full of life and enjoyed many things, especially sports.
Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Brandon and Terri Martin of Sulphur; three brothers, Justin Barnes and Blaine Darbonne both of Sulphur and Cade Martin of Moss Bluff; and her paternal grandmother, Rhonda Peloquin of Sulphur.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Johnny Peloquin and an uncle, Shawn Martin.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, January 29, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Kevin Polk will officiate. Burial will be in Farquhar Cemetery in Sulphur. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of services.
I can't believe you are gone. We had so many fun times together. You were my daughter's best friend and my other daughters buddy. You will be missed so much.
I did not know Tyler but I do have a granddaughter her age. My prayers are with your family and friends at this delicate time. Tyler was such a beautiful young lady and it's always puzzling when such a young life is interrupted. Please allow your precious memories of her to bring smiles to your faces and joy to your hearts. Be assured that God knows best!
My thoughts and prayers are with you guys during this time. I am so glad I had the opportunity to know Tyler. I will never forget her wonderful smile or infectious laugh. She will always have a special place in my heart.

Tyler was such a funny easy goinhg young lady and so full of life! She always called me aunt Heather, I felt so honored to be an honorary aunt to such a wonderful kiddo! She will be truly missed!
