Vevia E. LeDoux, age 48, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010, at a local hospital after a brief illness.
Born December 5, 1961, in Lake Charles, she was a graduate of South Cameron High School and Sowela Technical College. She worked as a draftsman for Levingston Engineering for many years before working at ENGlobal Industries for a short time. Vevia loved bass fishing, camping, and animals. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Preceding her in death was her father, Marvin LeDoux.
Survivors include her mother, Bessie LeDoux of LeBleu Settlement; two sisters, Darlene Comeaux and husband, Jerry of LeBleu Settlement and Jackie Trouard and husband, Brent of Moss Bluff; her best friend, Maxine Williams of Ponchatoula; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home on Monday, November 29, 2010. Father Andreas Kedati will officiate. Burial will follow in Hebert Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 28, from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and again on Monday, November 29, from 8 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be prayed Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, family request donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 2278, Oklahoma City, OK, 73123-1718.
Bessie, Darlene, and Jackie, My heart is broken for you all..I send you my deepest heartfelt condolences for the loss of Vevia..Bessie, you know we spent each day together during our pregnancies for our daughters born just weeks apart..My prayer for you all is for God to give you supernatural strength in the coming weeks and months..We just lost my stepson in August and it was a total shock that will take a long time to get over. But with Christ, all things are possible.. I love all of you..

Though I had not seen Vevia in many years, she remained, in my heart, a dear friend who stood by me in a time of deep sorrow. I missed her sense of humor and laughter the most. I humbly offer my deepest sympathy to you, Vevia's family. You all are in my thoughts and prayers in this time of sadness.
