Wilma Irene Darrow Jones, 66, of Lake Charles, LA, passed away at 9:01 AM on Saturday, March 11, 2023 in her residence.

Ms. Jones will always be remembered as a loving mother who was always there to support her family.  She loved unconditionally and taught her family many life lessons that they will cherish.  She always made time to listen to each and every one of them and made each feel special.  She was always full of life and will be greatly missed.

Ms. Jones is survived by her children, Wilma Jean, Virginia Kucinski, Melissa Madison (Sky), Robert Peterson, Shannon Jones (Paul Williams), Tasha Koontz, Jami Jones (JD), Theresa Jones (Amanda), and Melissa Jean (Jerry); siblings, Earl Darrow, Steve Darrow, Cheryl Duncan, Ronnie Darrow, and Marlene Morales; uncle, Eugene Wolfe; grandchildren, Josh, Lily, Savannah, Kylie, Shantel, Nicholas, Austin, Kayla, Matthew, Jr., Jasmine, Diana, Angela, Mariah, Travis, Tabitha, Ashley, Magnus, Theodore, Jr., Lincoln, Mavis, Daniel, Aiden, Lane, Gage, Brittany, Calvin, and Haley; and great-grandchildren, Lucas, Harper, Shevy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Virginia Wolfe Darrow; daughter, Opal Peterson; and brothers, Harley and David Darrow.

Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.  Pastor John Louivere will officiate.  A gathering of family members and friends will be on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
