Wilton P. LeBert, 78, of Lake Charles died at 5:40 AM Tuesday, September 07, 2010 in his residence with family at his side.

Mr. LeBert was a native of Lake Charles and worked as a self employed painter for the past 30 years and was a member of the Painters Local # 1244. Mr. LeBert loved fishing. He especially loved having family and friends over for gatherings at the house.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Mrs. Mildred Boudreaux LeBert, three sons: Daniel LeBert and wife Elaine, Ronnie LeBert and wife Regina, Terry LeBert and wife Vanessa, four daughters: Kathy Gary and husband Johnny, Vita Fuselier and husband Wilson, Brenda Taylor and husband John all of Moss Bluff, Cindy Lyons and husband Darrel of Houston, TX, brother Henry LeBert of Lake Charles, twenty-one grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Mr. LeBert is preceded in death by his parents Willie and Olivia LeBert, one brother Hilbert LeBert, and one daughter Susan LeBert.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Jeremy Smith will officiate. Burial will be in the Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Thursday at 8:00 AM until the time of services.
