Aaron Joseph Veillon, age 79 of Lake Charles, LA left the world on February 3, 2023. Aaron was born April 1, 1943 in Eunice, Louisiana.
Aaron attended Mamou High and then enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1960 until July 1963. He was stationed at Selfridge Air Force Base in Mount Clemens Michigan where he was in the first transportation squadron as a motor vehicle dispatcher. He then went to work offshore at an oil exploration company. In 1993 he went to work at Boeing (Northrop Grumman) until retiring in 2009.
He loved his family dearly. His favorite past times were wood working, listening to French Music and spending time with friends. Mardi Gras in Mamou was one of his favorite festivals. He loved spending time doing puzzles on his computer with great granddaughter Collyns.
Aaron is preceded in death by his dear wife Barbara Jean Roberts Veillon of 55 years; his parents Norris Veillon and Hilda Fontenot Veillon; his brothers Robert Veillon, Bruce Veillon, Brent Veillon and Greg Veillon.
He leaves behind, his son Lane Veillon and wife Greta of Baton Rouge, LA; granddaughter Emilee Veillon of Baton Rouge, LA; great granddaughter Collyns Hutchinson of Baton Rouge, LA; his sister Dorothy Veillon Vidrine (Karl) of Denham Springs, LA, sister-in-law Betsie Walker (Billy) of Iowa (Hecker), LA; sister-in-law Mary Lee Hobbie (Butch) of Greenville, NC; sister-in-law Margaret Veillon (Bruce) of Westlake, LA; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa and there are no formal services scheduled.
