Ada Marie Gibson

Ada Marie Gibson, 85, of Lake Charles, LA went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 31, 2018. Ada was born in Branch, LA on December 26, 1932 to Newett and Alice Oliver Richard.

Ada was the owner and operator of a small book keeping business in her home and prepared tax returns for her customers and friends for many years. Ada loved to visit with people and always enjoyed her time talking and sharing with her friends. The love of her life was her children, always available to help them in any way possible. She fell in love with the mountains of North Carolina where her second husband DB “Dutch” Gibson was from.

Ada is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Roy Winn, DB “Dutch” Gibson, her daughter Shiela Rae Gibson along with her sister Margaret Richard Nix.

Those left to cherish her memory and her husband Curley Cormier, her son Calvin Winn, her sister Violet Winn and her brother Newitt Richard.

The family will receive friends at Johnson Funeral Home on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 9AM-2PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2PM, officiated by Rev. Pat Deshotel. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
