Adrian Wimberly

John Adrian Wimberly, 58, of Lake Charles died Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in his home.

Adrian lived most of his life in Lake Charles.  He was a talented craftsman in woodwork and has created signature pieces for family and friends.  “He loved life and lived it”.  Adrian will be most remembered for his faith in God, his praise for forgiveness, and the opportunity to be at peace and whole again.  

He leaves to honor his memory, his wife, Regina Richard Wimberly of Lake Charles; his mother, Sybil Ann Richard of Lake Charles; four brothers, Kevin Lloyd Wimberly, Edward James Wimberly and Christopher Todd Wimberly, all of Lake Charles and Lecil James Wimberly, Jr. of Moss Bluff; two sisters, Alberta Davis and husband Kevin and Jennifer Solano and companion Kenneth Thornton; two stepsons, Lucas Wimberly and Donald Benoit of Lake Charles; nieces; nephews and many friends.  He also leaves his “faithful babies”, Mister, Selina and Ciera.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lecil James Wimberly; one brother, Wilfred “Woogie” Wimberly, Sr. and two nephews, Warren Wimberly and Wilford James Wimberly.

Memorial services will be at 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 23, 2019 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.  Brother Rodney Bankens will officiate.  Visitation Wednesday will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service in the funeral home.
