Agnes Mae Hutchins

Agnes Mae Hutchins, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 17, 2022.

She was born on March 23, 1938 in Hackberry, LA to Adam and Mary Logue.

She worked in food service as a cook since she was 13 years old. She loved to waitress at the VFW hall. She was also passionate about bingo, crabbing, fishing and listening to Cajun French music.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Charles Adam Hutchins, Alfred Daniel Hutchins, Mary Agnes Doucet (Murray) and Patricia Woodard (Billy); 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; sisters, Lena Knight and Ruby Boudreaux; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, George Adam Hutchins; son, George F. Hutchins; six brothers; and one sister.  

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Alan Weishampel will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the start of the service.
