Albert Burnell Vincent, 92, of Carlyss, passed away on April 12, 2026, at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home in Jennings, LA. Albert was born on January 18, 1934, in Johnson Bayou, LA, to Alcide and Irene Vincent. He retired at the age of 55 from Cit-Con after working there for 34 years. Albert served his country in the United States Army as PFC from March 1954 to March 1956. He was an expert carpenter and was very meticulous of his work. His favorite saying was, “You measure three times but only cut once.” Albert’s favorite past time was spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kelli Fenetz and husband, Tony; two grandchildren, Cody Fenetz and wife, Niki and Nicole Mays and husband, Jared; six great grandchildren, Conner, Dixie, Jackson, Dani, Clare and Elizabeth; and one sister, Betty Goddard of Deweyville, TX. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Faye Vincent; his parents; two brothers, Curtis and Charles “Bully Boy” Vincent; four sisters, Doris Nunez, Gladys Jenkins, Beatrice “T-Bug” Poole and Dorothy Rose Guillory.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 10 AM at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with Father Hunter LaRocca officiating. Burial will follow at Hackberry Community Cemetery in Hackberry, LA. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur from 5-8 PM with a Cursillo rosary prayed at 6 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday from 8 AM until time to leave for the church.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the amazing staff on Unit 3 at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home in Jennings, LA who took excellent care of him over the last five years and Heart of Hospice for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home in memory of Albert Vincent.
