Albert Wayland Green

Albert Wayland Green, 91, of Lake Charles died at 8:06 PM on Monday, January 7, 2013 in a local hospital.

Mr. Green was born on June 11, 1921 in Haynesville, LA. He was a graduate of Jonesboro-Hodge High School and Northwestern State University. Mr. Green served in the Coast Guard during World War II in the D-Day Invasion in France.

Those left to cherish his memory is a sister, Lucy Oakley and husband Edward of Lake Charles; a brother, Leonard Green, Jr. and wife June of Shreveport; two nephews, Philip and Randy Oakley; and three nieces, Kathy Sue Bryant, Georgia Ann Green, and Linda Methvin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred McGregor Green; a sister, Catherine Green; and a brother, George W. Green.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 12, 2013 in the Edmond Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro, LA. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Cemetery. Local arrangements were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
