Alice Drum

Alice LeDoux Drum, 92, went to be with the Lord on December 22, 2018.

Mrs. Drum was a lifelong parishioner of St. Margaret Catholic Church and a secretary at Oak Park Elementary. She is remembered as the penultimate mother and grandmother. She was always the caretaker and never missed any of her children’s or grandchildren’s events.

She is survived by four children, Vicki Mims (Sam), Karen Katchur (David), Bill Drum, and Christy Ammons (Todd); seven grandchildren, Jason Katchur, Staci Mims Vetterling, Lindsey Mims Suarez, Austin Drum, Allyson Drum, Andrew Ammons, and John Henry Ammons; seven great grandchildren; and sister, Leona Fuselier.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Drum; parents, Henry and Alice LeDoux; and two brothers, Raymond and Iver LeDoux.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Margaret Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 26 at 11AM. Monsignor Harry Greig will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, a gift may be made in Mrs. Drum’s honor to the Calcasieu Parish Library or to St. Margaret Catholic Church.
