Bell City – Alice Hoffpauir Guidry, born June 16, 1939, daughter of the late James and Marilia (Weekly) Hoffpauir, passed away in a Lafayette hospital, January 13, 2019, at the age of 79.
Alice was a member of St. John Vianney in Bell City. She loved spoiling all of her grandchildren, working puzzles and cooking for her family.
Survivors are her husband of 64 years, George Guidry; sons, Ricky Guidry (Virginia) of Bell City; Gordon Guidry (Lottie) of Hayes; Earl Guidry (Tina) of Welsh; grandchildren, Christopher Guidry (Kaysha); Ryan Guidry (Kayla); Laura Taylor (Teryl); Blake Guidry; Holly Luke (Britt); great-grandchildren, Maddux, Paisley & Molly Taylor; Hayden Guidry; Russell Luke; Klancie Hebert and Ellie Guidry.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Garland Guidry; granddaughter, Faith Guidry.
A Mass of Christian Burial is Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11 a.m. in St. John Vianney of Bell City with Reverend John Payne officiating. Burial will follow in Lorrain DeRouen Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Monday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.
Pallbearers assisting in her service are Chris Guidry; Ryan Guidry; Blake Guidry; Kyle Fox; Scott Harrington and Jerry Hoffpauir. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Maddux Taylor.
