Alice Idella Cooper

Alice Idella Cooper, 85, of Searcy, Arkansas, formerly of Lake Charles died Monday May 16, 2016 at a Searcy Hospital following an extended illness.

Alice was a native of Marthaville and a longtime resident of Lake Charles. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She was a member of Boulevard Church of Christ for 53 years, and currently a member of Cloverdale Church of Christ in Searcy.

Preceding Alice in Death are her parents, Benjamin and Alice Cotton ; and a son, Phillip Wayne Cooper. Those left to honor and cherish her memories are her beloved husband of 68 years, Vester Cooper, Searcy, AR; son, Rocky Cooper and wife Kim, Searcy, AR; daughter, Jackie Vandever and husband David, Lake Charles; grandchildren, Noah Cooper, Chloe Cooper, Matthew Vandever, Searcy; and Cody Vandever and Courtney Vandever, Lake Charles; sisters, Loretta Goodman, Houston, TX and Margorie Doherty, Anacoco; numerous nieces, nephews cousins and extended family.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM today, Thursday May 19, at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday at the Funeral Home. Graveside interment services will be at 3:00 PM on Friday at Bethsadia Cemetery near Many, LA.
