Alice Joyce Brocato, 92, died Tuesday December 13, 2016 at a local care facility.
Mrs. Brocato was a native and life-long resident of Lake Charles. She worked for several years for United Gas Company and worked as a switchboard operator for Calcasieu Marine National Bank. She has always loved listening to music, during her younger years she enjoyed playing the accordion and organ for family gatherings and for her church. Mrs. Brocato also enjoyed knitting and crocheting, particularly afghan blankets she leaves with friends and family. Her greatest love was traveling throughout the states with her husband and the love they shared for their dogs. Mrs. Brocato was an active member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God.
Preceding Alice in death were her parents, D.J. and Bridget McCloy LaBauve; brothers, Edwin LaBauve, Milton LaBauve, D.J. LaBauve, Jr., Richard LaBauve; sister, Bridget Mary Landry; and husband of 44 years, Peter John Brocato. She is survived by her sister, Betty Cooke and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 18, 2016 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Gary Evers will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation Sunday will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
